Cream of tartar (or potassium bitartrate) is a natural leavening agent used as a substitute for baking powder in light and easily digestible preparations. Especially suitable in case of yeast intolerances or for the preparation of vegan and vegetarian desserts. It can be dissolved in water to make a refreshing and balancing drink.

How to use
As a yeast, simply replace the quantity of yeast provided for the preparation with half cream of tartar and half sodium or potassium bicarbonate. As a drink, dissolve a measuring cup in a cup of boiling water, letting it cool before drinking. If the solution is cooled, the cream of tartar separates from the water in the form of crystals, which can be dissolved again with boiling water. Measuring cup included in the pack.
